SMALL TEA BOWLS - KO CHAWAN
These bowls are smaller than average and are usable for CHABAKO. There are two.
I01 SMALL YELLOW SETO (KISETO) WARE SMALL BOWL
This is a smaller than average bowl, called a ko chawan. It is good for chabako and travel sets. This bowl is one of the substitutes for the travel set found on the CHABAKO and MATCHA pages. The same set is on both pages.

Tsubo-tsubo refers to a design created by Sotan, from, according to myth, either the white jars used on Shinto God Shelves for water offerings, or little lumps of earth from the fields of sacred shrine fields. Sotan made three different patterns, one for each son who started a seperate family. Urasenke has a pattern two on the left and one on the right while Omote Senke's is two on the right and one on the left.

I16 CHRYSANTHEMUMS & PAULONIA (KIKUGIRI) BOWL
IRO-E Overglaze Enamel on White
C'mums and paulonia have become a standard set design from the Momoyama period. For one thing they represent Spring, the blooming paulonia, and Autumn, the c'mum. But beyond that Hideyoshi first took the paulonia for his crest, then adopted an imperial prince and thus claImed the c'mum for himself as well.
